Demystifying Web3 Governance With Wivity Brand Refresh

Wivity, a leader in Web3 governance solutions, sought to refresh their brand identity and narrative to better communicate their mission and expertise. This project aimed to solidify Wivity's position at the forefront of Web3 by aligning the brand with their vision of unlocking the full potential of this innovative space through standardized governance practices.

As standardization and governance experts, Wivity offers a scalable and innovative approach to combining consortium best practices with decentralized autonomous organization mechanics with the greater vision of unlocking Web3’s full potential. My role as the brand designer was to craft a brand identity and narrative that could communicate the credibility and expertise fueling this ambitious vision. The challenge was to demystify the complexities of governance and present Wivity’s organization in a manner that was accessible and engaging.

The design philosophy embraced a Bauhaus-inspired layout, utilizing negative space and limited primary palettes to emphasize key information with an approachable yet authoritative presence. Compositional areas of rest, designed to encourage reflection, are playfully framed by and punctuated with dramatic silhouettes. These flat, warm 2D shapes evoke primary school pictures and building blocks, abandoning the common Web3 preference for corporate cyberpunk aesthetics for something familiar and warm. The design process aimed to create a cohesive visual language that would encourage patience, imagination, and curiosity.
